Oriso acquires Vullify and doubles down on sovereign cybersecurity

Montreal — Quebec-based cloud pioneer Oriso continues its growth by acquiring Vullify, a company specializing in vulnerability management and attack surface monitoring.

The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

With this acquisition, Oriso aims to strengthen its position in a transforming market, where organizations must contend with a growing number of cyber threats and increasing regulatory pressure.

A fragmented market in rapid evolution

The transaction comes at a time when companies are accumulating cybersecurity tools, often at the expense of overall visibility. This fragmentation complicates risk management and slows response capabilities.

In this context, Oriso is betting on the integration of a platform capable of consolidating multiple critical functions within a single environment.

A Canadian-built and hosted solution, adopted by global leaders

Founded in Montreal, Vullify has identified vulnerabilities and worked with companies such as Gap, Louis Vuitton, Dell, Comcast, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and other Fortune 500 organizations, enabling them to continuously monitor their exposure to risk through:

A key differentiator: the entire infrastructure is hosted in Canada, an increasingly important factor in a regulatory environment shaped by requirements such as Law 25.

Simplicity as an alternative to industry giants

The market is dominated by U.S.-based players offering comprehensive solutions that are often considered complex to deploy and costly to operate.

Vullify positions itself as a more accessible alternative, with rapid deployment and a unified approach.

For Oriso, the objective goes beyond technology.

“We want to simplify cybersecurity for organizations while keeping data here,” said François Michaud of Oriso.

Continuity for customers

Vullify customers will continue to use the platform without interruption. The company indicates that the integration will primarily accelerate product development and expand its service offering.

A growth strategy driven by acquisitions

This transaction is part of a broader external growth strategy. In a market where consolidation is accelerating, technology companies are looking to combine expertise and platforms to address increasingly complex needs.

Despite a sometimes uncertain economic environment, many players are anticipating a rebound in mergers and acquisitions activity, particularly in technology and specialized sectors.

With the integration of Vullify, Oriso positions itself as a local player aiming to build a comprehensive cybersecurity offering, while leveraging an increasingly differentiating factor: data sovereignty.
